and won the breed on Sunday. Merlot made the cut in the tough group. It
looks like our special girl ends the year #2 in All Systems! In other
areas of competition, Venture (AKC/ASCA
CH Rainyday's Joint Venture HIC) picked up two legs on his NA, Casey
(Rainyday's Fire in the Sky NA NAJ) picked up two legs on his OA and one on
his OAJ, and Marley (U-AGII Rainyday's Life On Mars
OA OAJ OAC-O OJC-O NGC-O OGC JS-N RS-N CL1 CL2 CL3 CL4-R) picked up the
first leg on her Excellent Jumpers title! Way to go guys!

We went to Amarillo where Merlot
(BIS MBISS AKC/ASCA CH Rainyday's Red Red Wne) was BOB three of the
four days. Merlot picked up two Group Twos and a Group Four. Glory
(Rainyday's Morning Glory) was shown two days and was WB/BOW both days.

We went up to Pueblo, CO where Merlot (BIS
MBISS AKC/ASCA CH Rainyday's Red Red Wine) was BOB both days. Back in TX, ASCA
CH Rainyday's Havin' A Ball picked up a WB/BOW win for a three pt AKC major.
Lucy needs only one three pt major to finish her second championship!
November 23-24

We went to Waco where we had a great time. On Saturday Merlot
(BIS MBISS AKC/ASCA CH Rainyday's Red Red Wine) was BOB and went on to win
the Group. Merlot was BOS on Sunday. In Dallas, Kari Brown took her
boy Indi (Rainyday's No Speed Limit)
to the ASCA show where he picked up a RWD to the major. Way to go guys!
November 16-17

We went to Katy where we had a good time. On Saturday Lucy
(ASCA CH Rainyday's Havin A Ball) was WB/BOW/BOB over both the number 1 and
number 2 Aussies! Lucy is owned, loved, and presented by Della and Harvey
Brock. On Sunday, Lucy did not show as she is minored out. Merlot
(BIS MBISS AKC/ASCA CH Rainyday's Red Red Wine) was BOB and went on to a
Group Three and Glory (Rainyday's Morning
Glory) was RWB. But the really exciting news came from KS where Kim Waller
was competin at the ASCA show with AKC
CH Rainyday's The Beat Goes On. Tempo needed one point to complete her ASCA
championship. She went WB/BOW for a five pt major and then went BOB over
specials to become AKC/ASCA CH Rainyday's The Beat Goes On! Tempo's win put her
mother, Cobbercrest Propwash Obla-De
into the ASCA HOF! In PA, Lonni Berger took 7 month old Rainyday's
Red Zinger to a herding clinic where he met sheep on Saturday and earned a
leg towards his HCT on Sunday! Way to go guys! Check Zinger's page for great

We went down to Houston where Glory
(Rainyday's Morning Glory) was WB/BOW on Saturday and ASCA
CH Rainyday's Havin A Ball was RWB. On Sunday the girls flip-flopped.

We went back to Oklahoma to the Tulsa cluster where we had a
great time. Merlot (BIS MBISS AKC/ASCA CH
Rainyday's Red Red Wine) was BOB all three days and got a Group Four on
Saturday. Glory (Rainyday's Morning
Glory) was entered for the weekend only and was RWB both days. The
highlight of the weekend was not the show itself, but the eye clinic. We took 6
dogs and had 12 clear eyes -- AKC CH Rainyday's Free As A Bird CGC, AKC/ASCA CH
Rainyday's Roses Are Red, AKC/ASCA CH Rainyday's Violets Are Blue, AKC/ASCA CH

We went up to Oklahoma to the Duncan shows where Merlot
(BIS MBISS AKC/ASCA CH Rainyday's Red Red Wine) was BOB on Sat and BOS on
Sunday. Glory (Rainyday's Morning
Glory) was RWB on Sat and WB on Sunday from the 9-12 class. Down in
Austin, Rainyday dogs had even more fun. Sheila Hall's 7 month old Arthur
(Rainyday's Copy Me to Peppertree) was WD/BOW/BOS (over specials) on Sat and
WD/BOW on Sunday. Arthur has been shown six days and has been WD five of the
six! Della and Harvey Brock's Lucy
(ASCA CH Rainyday's Havin A Ball) was WB on Sat and WB/BOS (over specials)
on Sunday. On Saturday, the only day she was entered, AKC/ASCA
CH Rainyday's We Have No Secrets was BOB. Carly is owned by Gay Carey,
Cheryl Grossman and Ellen Meyer. Way to go everyone!

We went down to Belton where we had a blast. On Saturday, Sheila
Hall's Arthur (Rainyday's Copy Me To Peppertree)
was WD, Della and Harvey Brock's Lucy
(ASCA CH Rainyday's Havin A Ball) was WB/BOW, our Glory
(Rainyday's Morning Glory) was RWB, and Merlot
(BIS MBISS AKC/ASCA CH Rainyday's Red Red Wine) was BOB and on to a Group
One! On Sunday Sheila Hall's Lily
(Rainyday's Tigerlily) was WB/BOW to finish her AKC championship. Lucy was
RWB and Merlot repeated her BOB/Group One wins! In other news, Cheryl Shutt's Casey
(Rainyday's Fire in the Sky NA) completed his NAJ, Steve Aronson's Taylor
(Rainyday's Kiss From A Rose) completed his NGC and NJC and Debbie Hanson's Marley

We went to an ASCA show in Weatherford where we had a good
time. On Friday night Carly
(AKC/ASCA CH Rainyday's We Have No Secrets) was BOB over a huge entry. Carly
is owned by Gay Carey, Cheryl Grossman and Ellen Meyer. On Friday and
Sunday our Glory (Rainyday's Morning
Glory) was RWB to a 5 and a 4 pt major -- this was Glory's first ASCA
show. On Saturday Lark
(AKC/ASCA CH Rainyday GirlsJusWannaHavFun) was BOS over a large entry.
Not to be overshadowed by conformation, Ruby
(AKC CH Rainyday's Ruby Tuesday RS-N,NAC,HIC) qualified in 3 of 4 obedience
runs to earn her ASCA CD! Ruby is trained and trialed by Kari Brown.
Meanwhile, at the San Antonio AKC show, Sheila Hall won WD/BOW/BOB both days with her 6
month old boy Arthur (Rainyday's Copy Me to Peppertree)!
This was Arthur's show debut! On Sunday Sheila's Lily
(Rainyday's Tigerlily) was WB/BOS. Lily has 14 pts in AKC now (both majors).
Way to go Sheila! In other states, Tricia Clement's boy True
(Rainyday's Love Me Do) was WD/BOW the one day he was shown. In Illinois,
Debbie Hanson's Marley (U-AGII Rainyday's Life On Mars
OA,OAJ,OAC,-OJC-O,NGC-O,OGC, JS-N,RS-N, CL1,CL2, CL3-R) completed her CL4-R
and had 5 Q's in her 8 runs at the CPE trial!
October 5-6

We stayed home this weekend but Rainyday dogs ran in
agility trials in 3 states! In TX, AKC CH Rainyday's Ruby Tuesday RS-N NAC
HIC (12 pts ASCA, 1 leg NJC) and her son Rainyday's No Speed Limit
(ptd AKC, 10 pt leg RS-N NAC)
ran at their first AKC agility trial. Ruby qualified in all four runs and earned
two legs towards her NA and two legs towards her NAJ with two fourth place wins and Indi earned two legs
towards his NA and one leg towards his NAJ. Indi and Ruby are trained and
trialed by Kari Brown. At the same trial, Cheryl Shutt's boy Casey
(Rainyday's Fire in the Sky) finished his NA and earned his second leg towards
his NAJ! Casey won first place one day and third place one day of his standard
runs and also placed second in JWW on Saturday. In KS, AKC/ASCA CH Rainyday's Joint Venture HIC earned a leg towards
his NAJ with a second place win, and in IL, Rainyday's Kiss From a Rose NAC
earned a leg towards his OAC and a leg towards his NGC with two first place
wins. Venture is owned
by Kim Waller and Kathy O'Malley and Taylor is owned by Steve Aronson.

We had a great time at our local show! Friends came in from
Memphis and Houston to stay with us and show dogs. On Thursday and Friday
Harvey and Della Brock's little girl Lucy
(ASCA CH Rainyday's Havin A Ball) was RWB. Our Merlot
(BIS MBISS AKC/ASCA CH Rainyday's Red Red Wine) was BOB Friday, Saturday and
Sunday and picked up a Group 2, a Group 4 and a Group 3. Rainyday's Blue
Sky Wrangler, owned by Donna Bybee, was WD/BOW/BOS on Sunday (over specials) for
a three pt major! Way to go Donna and Sky! Also on Sunday, our little Glory
(Rainyday's Morning Glory) was WB for two points. Glory was nine months old
on Friday! In other areas, our Jane
(AKC CH Rainyday Life in the Fast Lane) is in Canada being bred for her
first litter. Jane attended an ASCA show on Saturday and went WB under breeder
judge Selena Poplin for a five pt major to finish her ASCA championship! Thank
you to Michelle Sorba for taking such good care of Jane and for showing her for
us! In Illinois, Debbie Hanson took her girl
Marley (U-AGII Rainyday's Life On Mars OA,OAJ,OAC, OJC-O,NGC-O,OGC,JS-N,RS-N,
CL1,CL2, CL3-R) to an AKC agility trial where Marley was 3 for 4,
completing her OAJ and earning another leg on her Excellent Standard title! Way

We went to Tyler, TX where Mae
West (Rainyday's I'm No Angel) was WB/BOW to finish her AKC championship! In
other areas of competition, Kari Brown took our Ruby (AKC CH Rainyday's Ruby
Tuesday HIC) and her son Indi (Rainyday's No Speed Limit) to their first
ASCA/NADAC
agility trial. Ruby won first place in three standard classes with perfect
100's to earn her RS-N and NAC titles. She also won first place with a 100 to
earn a JWW leg and won a Gambler's class (no Q). Indi won a standard class with
a perfect 100 for a 10 pt leg. He also placed third in a Gambler's class (no Q).
Kari is a fantastic handler and we look forward to future success stories!
September 7-8

We went to Roswell, NM where we had a great time. On Saturday, Merlot
(BIS MBISS AKC/ASCA CH Rainyday's Red Red Wine) was BOB and won the group.
On Sunday, Mae West (Rainyday's I'm No
Angel) was WB/BOW, Rainyday's Blue Sky Wrangler was WD and Merlot
was BOB and a Group Three! In other areas, Rainyday's
Fire in the Sky, owned by Cheryl Shutt, attended his first agility trial.
Casey won three of his four classes with perfect scores of 100 and earned two
legs towards his NA and 1 leg towards his NAJ. Way to go guys!

(Rainyday's Havin A Ball) was WB/BOW all three days of the ASCA show for 3

groups. In other states, Tempo (AKC CH Rainyday's The Beat Goes On) was
WB/BOW for a five pt ASCA major, bringing her ASCA points to 14 (all majors).
Tempo is owned by Kim Waller and Beth Rice.
August 2-5

We went to Biloxi for the weekend and had a great time with
friends. Mae West (Rainyday's I'm No
Angel) was RWB three of the four days. Indi (Rainyday's No Speed Limit) was
WD/BOW for his first win! Indi is owned, loved and shown by Kari Brown. Congrats
you two! Merlot (BIS BISS AKC/ASCA
CH Rainyday's Red Red Wine) was BOS on Friday and Sunday and BOB on Monday.
However, the highlight of our weekend was the Puppy Sweepstakes on Sunday
evening. Kari's Indi won BOB adult and then won a Group Two in a nice group. Our
spoiled darling Glory (Rainyday's Morning
Glory) was BOB puppy and won the group. We waited around until almost
midnight and took a raring to go Glory back in the ring where she was awarded
BIS puppy! Glory just turned seven months old and is already the consummate pro
in the ring! In other states and competitions, we hear that Marley (U-AGII Rainyday's Life On Mars
OA,NAJ,OAC, O-OJC,O-NGC,OGC,JS-N,RS-N,CL1,CL2, CL3-R) attended
a USDAA trial where she ran in Performance I Gamblers and Titling and won both
classes! The second day Marley got her second leg and finished second! This was
only Marley's third USDAA trial and she was competing against top dogs from all
across the country as the show was a regional final on the way to the Grand Prix
nationals. Way to go Debbie and Marley!
July 27-28

We went to Longview where Merlot
(BIS Multiple BISS AKC/ASCA CH Rainyday's Red Red Wine) was BOB on
Sunday. In other states, we are thrilled to announce that AKC CH
Rainyday's Joint Venture HIC was WD/BOW at an ASCA show for a five pt major to
finish his ASCA championship. Venture is owned by Kim Waller and Kathy O'Malley
and is shown by Kathy's 14 yr old daughter Katie.
July 19-21

Down to Houston where Mae
West (Rainyday's I'm No Angel) picked up a WB/BOW for a four pt major. Mae
was only entered two days, and was best bred by exhibitor and went on to a Bred
By Group Four her second day. Rainyday's
Morning Glory showed one day only and was Best Puppy.
July 11-14

We went to the San Antonio shows where we had a great
time. Mae West (Rainyday's I'm No
Angel) showed two of the four days and was WB/BOW both days. Her sister,
Rainyday's Tiger Lily was RWB both of these days. Lily is owned by Sheila Hall. Merlot
(BIS Multiple BISS AKC/ASCA CH Rainyday's Red Red Wine) was Best of Breed on
both Thursday and Sunday and won a Group Three on Sunday. Spark's
(AKC/ASCA CH Rainyday's I'm On Fire HT) son Torch (Shalako's Thrill To
Remember) was WD two days and finished his AKC championship. Torch just turned a
year old. He was bred by Shelley Hollen and is owned by Patsy King. We
also received all kinds of exciting news about Marley's (U-AGII Rainyday's Life On Mars
OA,NAJ,OAC,O-OJC,O-NGC, OGC,JS-N,RS-N, CL3-R,CL1-S,CL1-H,CL2-F)
most recent accomplishments. Marley recently attended an agility
trial where she ran in CPE, ASCA and NADAC. She had 14 runs and qualified in 6.
Marley has legs towards multiple titles and we are waiting for an update from
her owner Debbie Hanson to update her list of accomplishments. Way to go guys!
June 28-30

We went to Hattiesburg where we had a great deal of fun. Rainyday's
I'm No Angel was WB/BOW for her first point. Merlot
(BIS Multiple BISS AKC/ASCA CH Rainyday's Red Red Wine) was best of breed on
Friday. Rainyday's No Speed Limit, owned by Kari Brown, won his class all
weekend and picked up two RWD wins. Indi has just started showing and is off to
a great start.
June 21-23

We went down to Hutto for an ASCA show where we had a great time
with friends. Rainyday's Copy Me To Peppertree, Sheila Hall's new puppy, was
Best of Breed puppy all three days of the show! Arthur is 12 weeks old and off
to a great start! On Friday Rainyday's Tigerlily, also owned by Sheila
Hall, was WB for a five pt major and her littersister Rainyday's
I'm No Angel was RWB. This was Mae's second day in the ASCA ring and her
second RWB win. Merlot (BIS BISS AKC/ASCA
CH Rainyday's Red Red Wine) was BOS. On Saturday Mae
West was WB/BOW for a five pt major and Merlot was BOB. Spark's
11 month old son Torch (Shalako's Thrill To Remember) was RWD to the five pt major both
Friday and Sunday. Torch is owned and loved by Patsy King.
June 15-16

We went to Texarkana where we had a wonderful time. Merlot
(BIS BISS AKC/ASCA CH Rainyday's Red Red Wine) won the breed both days, made
the cut in the group on Saturday, and won the group on Sunday. Merlot is
currently the number two Australian Shepherd All systems! In addition to
Merlot's great weekend, Spark's son,
Torch (Shalako's Thrill To Remember) was WD/BOW/BOS on Sat and RWD on
Sunday. Torch is 11 months old and has 12 AKC pts (both majors) and a five
pt ASCA major. Torch is owned by Patsy King. In Michigan, AKC/UKC CH
Rainyday's Achy Breaky Heart was BOB and made the cut in the group both days.
June 8-9

We went to Stephenville where we had a blast. We only
showed Merlot (BIS BISS AKC/ASCA CH
Rainyday's Red Red Wine) and she was breed both days with a Group
Three on Saturday and a Group One on Sunday! Spark's son Torch, owned by Patsy
King, was RWD on Saturday. Torch is 11 months old and has 9 AKC points and 5
ASCA points! Way to go Torch! In other news, Ruby's daughter Lucy
(Rainyday's Havin A Ball) was RWB at the AKC in LA.
June 1-2

We went up to Longmont where we did not have any dog show luck
but had a blast at the Denver zoo and the outlet malls! Back in our neck
of the woods, Spark's son Torch (Shalako's Thrill To Remember) picked up another WD win!
May 24-27

We drove up to Shawnee, OK where we showed Merlot and Lily. On
Friday Lily (Rainyday's Tiger Lily) was RWB and Merlot
(BIS BISS AKC/ASCA CH Rainyday's Red Red Wine) was BOS. On Saturday Lily was
again RWB and Merlot won both the breed and the group. On Sunday Merlot again
won the breed and on Monday she was BOS to her half-brother Cooper (AKC CH
Rainyday's Tinsel Town). Sheila Hall's new puppy Arthur, Rainyday's Copy Me
to Peppertree, was BOS puppy two of the three days at the ASCA show in TX.
Arthur was eight weeks old on Friday and had never been on lead before Sheila
took him in the ring! Congrats Sheila on your wonderful new boy!
May 18-19

We drove up to Cortez, CO for an AKC show where Merlot
(BIS BISS AKC/ASCA CH Rainyday's Red Red Wine) was BOB both days and won a
Group Three on Sunday. Meanwhile, Spark's
(AKC/ASCA CH Rainyday's I'm On Fire HT) son Torch (Shalako's Thrill to
Remember) was WD three of the four days of the Biloxi cluster. Torch is 11
months old and has 8 pts in AKC.
May 11-12

We went over to NM where Merlot (BIS BISS AKC/ASCA CH Rainyday's
Red Red Wine) was BOB and Group Four on Sunday. Back in TX her half brother
Cooper (AKC CH Rainyday's Tinsel Town) was BOB both days at the Denton show and
won a Group Three on Sunday.
May 3-5

Up to OK City where we had a great time. On Saturday Lily
(Rainyday's TigerLily) was WB for two more points. Lily is just now 18
months old and needs one single to finish. Merlot
(BIS BISS AKC/ASCA CH Rainyday's Red Red Wine) was BOB and went on to a
Group One in a tough group! On Saturday and Sunday Merlot was BOB.

We stayed home, but hear that Spark's
son Torch (Shalako's Thrill To Remember) picked up a three point AKC major from
the 9-12 class. Torch is owned by Patsy King and was bred by Shelly Hollen. He
now has five points and is not yet a year old. Way to go guys!
April 13-14

We went up to CO for an AKC show in Brighton. Merlot won the
breed both days and on Sunday also went Group One! This win should place
Merlot as the number one Australian Shepherd in All Breed points and in the top
five in Breed points. On Saturday, Sheila Hall's 16 month old black tri bitch,
Rainyday's TigerLily, was WB/BOW for a four pt major. Lily needs only three
singles to finish her AKC championship. In other states, Michelle Lund's
AKC/UKC CH Rainyday's Achy Breaky Heart had his specials debut and went BOB and
a Group Three in Michigan, and Della and Harvey Brock's 13 month old Lucy
(Rainyday's Havin A Ball) was WB/BOW/BOB (over two specials) and then went on to
a Group Four in Texas. Way to go guys!
April 4-7

Off to KS for the Greater Wichita Australian Shepherd Club
Specialty. Merlot went BOB at the specialty over a huge entry that
included 24 specials! This was Merlot's second BOB win at this specialty
in the three years it has been held! On Friday Merlot was BOB again and
went on to a Group Two in tough competition. On Saturday Merlot was BOS at
the AKC show and then we went over to the local ASCA show (entry of 56) where
Merlot was BOB. Overall we had a wonderful time with friends, old and new.

We went down to Bryan where we had a great time. Merlot
(BIS BISS AKC/ASCA CH Rainyday's Red Red Wine) was BOB and Group Two both
days!

We went down to Hutto for an ASCA show where we had a great

Sunday Flair was RWB to the five point major. These puppies were bred by
Shelly Hollen of Shalako and are out of ASCA CH Shalako's Ladyhawke.

We went down to College Station for eye exams (all fine) and an
ASCA show where we are thrilled to announce that Carly (AKC CH Rainyday's We
Have No Secrets) was WB/BOW/BOB over multiple specials on both Saturday and
Sunday to finish her ASCA championship! Carly is owned by Gay Carey,
Cheryl Grossman and Ellen Meyer.

Off to NY for Westminster! Wow what a wonderful time we
had with friends old and new! Merlot
took to travel and NY like the old pro she is. We are very thrilled to
report that our Merlot was BOS! What an exciting trip!

We went over to Hobbs, NM for a fun AKC show. On Saturday
Finn (Rainyday's Finesse) was WB/BOW and Merlot
(BIS BISS AKC/ASCA CH Rainyday's Red Red Wine) was BOB and on to a Group
Three. On Sunday Finn repeated her WB/BOW wins and Merlot was BOB and then
on to a Group One!
