December 12-15 
We went down to Florida for the Eukanuba Classic and had a
wonderful time. At the Classic, Rainyday was represented by both Merlot
(BIS BISS AKC/ASCA CH Rainyday's Red Red Wine) and her half-brother Cooper
(AKC CH Rainyday's Tinsel Town). Merlot was awarded BOS and Cooper made
all of the cuts. The weekend continued to improve from there. On Thursday,
at the Breeder's Sweepstakes, Jane
(AKC CH Rainyday's Life In The Fast Lane) won BOB in the adult (under 24
months) division and went on to a Group Three. On Friday and Saturday
Merlot was BOB over a large entry, including several top ranked dog specials.
She also made the cuts in tough groups both days. We also did one day of
ASCA where Merlot was BOS, and in her show debut, our little Mae
West (Rainyday's I'm No Angel) was RWB to the four point major. Not a bad
way to start her career!
December 7-8 
We showed two days of the Amarillo cluster where Lily
(Rainyday's Tiger Lily) was RWB on Saturday and went on to WB on Sunday. Lily is
owned by Sheila Hall. On Sunday Finn (Rainyday's Finesse) was RWB. Finn is owned
by Cecilia Carter. Merlot (BIS BISS
AKC/ASCA CH Rainyday's Red Red Wine) was BOB on Saturday and made the cuts
in groups, and was BOS on Sunday.
December 1-2 
We went over to Mesquite for a fun weekend with friends. Merlot
(BIS BISS AKC/ASCA CH Rainyday's Red Red Wine) was BOS both days -- on
Saturday to her half brother Cooper (AKC CH Rainyday's Tinsel Town) who went on
to a Group Three.
November 24-25 
We went to the Waco show where we had a great time visiting with
friends and showing dogs. On Saturday, Merlot
(BIS BISS AKC/ASCA CH Rainyday's Red Red Wine) was BOB and Lucy (Rainyday's
Havin' A Ball) was RWB. On Sunday Merlot took the day off and we showed Spark
(AKC/ASCA CH Rainyday's I'm On Fire) for fun. Spark was BOS and Lucy
repeated her RWB win. Lucy is owned and adored by Della and Harvey Brock.
November 17-18 
We stayed home this weekend and rested!
November 10-11

Up to OK where we had a good time. On Saturday, Lily (Rainyday's
Tigerlily) was WB for her first point and Merlot
(BIS BISS AKC/ASCA CH Rainyday's Red Red Wine) was BOB. On Sunday Lily was
RWB and Merlot was BOS. In TX, Cooper (AKC CH Rainyday's Tinsel Town)
picked up a BOB and a Group Two, while in MI, Billy (UKC CH Rainyday's Achy
Breaky Heart) was RWD on Friday and WD both Saturday and Sunday. Billy now only
needs his majors to have his AKC championship! Lily belongs to Sheila
Hall, Cooper to Sherry Green and Billy to Michelle Gullet.
November 2-4

We went to a three day AKC show in Tulsa where Lily (Rainyday's
Tiger Lily) continued her stint as the Reserve Queen. Lily belongs to Sheila
Hall and will eventually get those first points! Merlot
(BIS BISS AKC/ASCA CH Rainyday's Red Red Wine) was BOB on both Friday and
Saturday and got a Group Three on Saturday. Back in Texas, Cooper (AKC CH
Rainyday's Tinsel Town) was BOB both days at the San Antonio shows and won a
Group One and a Group Two. Cooper is owned by Sherry Green.
October 27-28
We went down to Austin where we had a great time. On Saturday Merlot
(BIS BISS AKC/ASCA CH Rainyday's Red Red Wine) was BOB over 6 other specials
and on to a Group Four. On Sunday Merlot was BOB and on to a Group One! Also on
Sunday, Lucy (Rainyday's Havin' A Ball) was RWB to the four point major. Eight
month old Lucy is owned, loved, and handled by Della and Harvey Brock. Way
to go guys!
October 20-21 
We returned to NM for more fun! On Saturday Sheila Hall's Lily
(Rainyday's Tiger Lily) was RWB from the 9-12 class. This stunning puppy is
turning heads wherever she goes. Merlot
(BIS BISS AKC/ASCA CH Rainyday's Red Red Wine) was BOB and got a Group
Four. On Sunday Merlot was BOB and a Group Two. Meanwhile, in OK, Tempo
(Rainyday's The Beat Goes On) was WB/BOW/BOS to finish her championship. Tempo
showed only one more day, and was BOS. Tempo is owned by Kim Waller and Beth
Rice. Not to be outdone, Tempo's littermate Carly showed only one day and was
WB/BOS (over a special) on Saturday for her third major to finish her AKC
championship. Carly is owned by Cheryl Grossman and Ellen Meyer. Way to go
girls!
October 13-14

We went to NM for an exciting weekend! We showed ASCA in the
morning, and AKC in the afternoon. On Saturday, Folly
(AKC CH/ASCA A-CH Cobbercrest Rainyday's Folly NA CGC) was Best of Breed
Altered at the ASCA show, Jane
(Rainyday's Life In The Fast Lane) was RWB to the five pt major and Merlot
(BIS BISS AKC/ASCA CH Rainyday's Red Red Wine) was BOB. We moved on to
the AKC show where Jane went WB/BOW for a four point major to finish her
championship. Jane was awarded Best Bred By Exhibitor and went on to the Bred By
Group where she won a Group One. Then Jane went on to win Best Bred By Exhibitor
in Show! On Sunday, Folly and Merlot repeated their Altered Best of Breed
and Best of Breed wins at the ASCA show. At the AKC show, Ruby
(Rainyday's Ruby Tuesday HIC) went WB for a three point major to finish her
championship! To top of the weekend, Merlot went BOB! Wow --two new
champions in one weekend! In Kansas, Jane's littermates had a great
weekend too. Tempo (Rainyday's The Beat Goes On) was WB/BOW/BOB on Sunday
and brother True (Rainyday's Love Me Do) was WD/BOS. Tempo is owned by Kim
Waller and Beth Rice, and True belongs to Tricia Clements.

Off to Ft. Worth for an AKC show where Merlot
(BIS BISS AKC/ASCA CH Rainyday's Red Red Wine) was BOS the first day and BOB
the second day. Merlot's littermate Ruby
(Rainyday's Ruby Tuesday HIC) was RWB the second day, and their half
brother, Cooper (AKC CH Rainyday's Tinsel Town) was BOS that day. Back at ASCA
Nationals in CO, Venture (AKC CH Rainyday's Joint Venture HIC) placed third in
the open blue class of more than 30 dogs. Venture is truly a "joint
venture" as he is owned by Kim Waller, Beth Rice, Tricia Clements and Kathy
O'Malley. Also at Nationals, Carly (Rainyday's We Have No Secrets) placed
third in the open red bitch class. Carly is owned by Cheryl Grossman and Ellen
Meyer. Spark's (AKC/ASCA CH Rainyday's I'm
On Fire HT) son, Torch, was third in both of his classes -- with entries of
30+ puppies! Way to go guys!
September 15-17

We went to the ASCA Nationals pre-shows where we had an
incredible time! On Saturday, Rainyday's Havin' A Ball placed third in the
puppy sweepstakes (6-9) and then won the 6-9 class in stiff competition. Lucy
went on to be RWB! Lucy is seven months and two days old and is
owned by Della and Harvey Brock. We showed Lark
(AKC/ASCA CH Rainyday GirlsJusWannaHavFun) and Merlot
(BIS BISS AKC/ASCA CH Rainyday's Red Red Wine) as specials. Both girls made
the first cut (from 65+ bitches to 20) and then Merlot went on to win BOS!
On Sunday, Lucy was third in the 6-9 class and Carly (Rainyday's We Have No
Secrets) won the Open Red bitch class. Carly is owned by Cheryl Grossman and
Ellen Meyer. Spark's (AKC/ASCA CH
Rainyday's I'm On Fire HT) pup Torch (bred by Shelly Hollen) made his show
debut and placed second in a class of ten 2-4 month old pups. What a
start! Sunday evening we showed Merlot, Spark and Lark in breed. All
three of them made the first cuts (130+ specials) and Merlot went on to win a
Premier Five award. Sunday was just as exciting as Lucy again won the 6-9
class, Carly was second in open Red, and Lily (Rainyday's Tiger Lily, owned by
Sheila Hall) was third in the 9-12 class. Tempo (Rainyday's the Beat Goes On)
made the cut in a tough Open Blue class. Tempo is owned by Kim Waller and
Beth Rice. Folly (AKC CH/ASCA
A-CH Cobbercrest Rainyday's Folly NA CGC) made her Nationals debut in the
Altered class and followed that up with the Veterans class. Folly was BOS over a
nice entry of bitch specials in Altered, and placed 4th in her Veterans class.
Spark's son Torch was third out of six puppies in his 2-4 month old class. But
the best was yet to come as we showed Merlot, Spark and Lark in breed that
evening. All three of them made the cuts (from 130+ specials) and both Spark and
Merlot went on to win Premier Ten awards. Wow! Not to be forgotten,
AKC CH Rainyday's Joint Venture HIC made his agility debut at nationals. While
Venture did not qualify, he had a few wonderful runs and we expect great success
from him soon! Venture is owned by Kim Waller, Beth Rice, Tricia Clements and
Kathy O'Malley.
In other states, True (Rainyday's Love Me Do) went to a show in
KS where he was WD the first day and RWD the second. True is owned by Tricia
Clements. In TX, AKC CH Rainyday's Tinsel Town picked up another BOB
win. Cooper is owned by Sherry Green.

We stayed home to rest.
September 1-3

We stayed home and celebrated Parker's third birthday, but
littermates Tempo (Rainyday's The Beat Goes On) and True (Rainyday's Love Me Do)
were RWB and RWB... ah well maybe next time! Tempo is owned by Kim Waller
and Beth Rice and True is owned by Tricia Clements.

new, hit the casinos, and managed to show dogs. Merlot

and then went BOB on the third day. Back in TX, Cooper (AKC CH Rainyday's
Tinsel Town) was BOB in Longview. Cooper is owned by Sherry Green. In
Wisconsin, Tempo (Rainyday's The Beat Goes On) was WB/BOS both days. Tempo
is owned by Kim Waller and Beth Rice. She needs only 3 singles to finish her AKC
championship.

Off to San Antonio where we had a great time at the dog show and
at the Riverwalk with friends. We only took Merlot
(BIS BISS AKC/ASCA CH Rainyday's Red Red Wine) with us and she was wonderful
-- three days of showing and three BOB wins! On Friday and Saturday her half
brother Cooper (AKC CH Rainyday's Tinsel Town) was BOS. Cooper is owned by
Sherry Green. Sheila Hall's puppy Lily (Rainyday's Tiger Lily) had her AKC
debut this weekend and won the 6-9 class both days she showed. What a great way
to start out. We expect great things to come from Sheila and Lily.

owned by Sherry Green. In PA, Wally, AKC CH Rainyday's Preston Phillips,
made his debut in the specials ring for a BOB win! Wally is owned by Cheryl
Bradley.

We went over to NM for two days where Merlot (BIS BISS AKC/ASCA
CH Rainyday's Red Red Wine) picked up a BOB win over an entry of more than 40
dogs. Back in TX, Cooper (AKC CH Rainyday's Tinsel Town) won a BOB and a
Group Two and in KS, Tempo (Rainyday's The Beat Goes On) was WB/BOS for a four
point AKC major. Tempo is owned by Kim Waller and Beth Rice.
May 5-6

We stayed home again this weekend... but Sherry Green's Cooper
(AKC CH Rainyday's Tinsel Town) picked up another BOB win in OK. Ruby's
son Indi (Rainyday's No Speed Limit) went to a herding lesson where he
demonstrated wonderful instinct and worked several sheep -- off lead! Indi
is 12 weeks old and is owned and loved by Kari Brown.
April 28-29 
We stayed home this weekend but Rainyday dogs had great fun
without us! Cooper (AKC CH Rainyday's Tinsel Town) picked up back to back
BOB wins with a Group Two and a Group One. Two of Ruby's puppies, Lucy
(Rainyday's Havin A Ball) and Sting (Rainyday's Bring On The Night) attended
their first ASCA show and showed in the 2-4 month class where they each won a
BOS award. Lucy is owned by Della and Harvey Brock and Sting is co-owned
by Rainyday and Gay Carey. What a great start for these youngsters!
April 21-22
We stayed home this weekend but other Rainyday dogs had great
successes! In Ohio, Cheryl Bradley's Wally (Rainyday's Preston Phillips)
went WD/BOW for a four point major to finish his AKC championship! Wally
is the fourth dog (out of 6) in his litter to complete an AKC
championship. On to ASCA! In Louisiana, Cooper, (AKC CH Rainyday's
Tinsel Town) picked up back to back breed wins with a Group Two and a Group One.
Way to go Cooper!
April 14-15 
We went to the AKC show in Roswell, NM for the weekend. On
Saturday Jane (Rainyday's Life In The Fast Lane) was WB/BOW and
Merlot
(BIS BISS AKC/ASCA CH Rainyday's Red Red Wine) was BOB/Group Two. On Sunday Jane
was WB/BOW/BOB! Not bad for a puppy!
April 7-8 
We drove up to Kansas to attend the second annual Greater
Wichita Australian Shepherd Club regional specialty. It was a wonderful
weekend full of old friends and beautiful dogs. Our Jane (Rainyday's Life
in the Fast Lane) won the BBX class at the specialty and Merlot made the first
three cuts and was among the final four considered for breed. The next day
was surprising to say the least -- we had entered our Violet (AKC CH Rainyday's
Violets Are Blue) just for fun -- her debut as a special. Our friend Beth Rice
kindly agreed to handle Violet -- and went BOB over an entry of more than
115! What an exciting beginning to Violet's career as a special! She then
made the cut in tough group competition. On Sunday Merlot (BIS BISS
AKC/ASCA CH Rainyday's Red Red Wine) was BOB over an entry of more than 100.
What a wonderful weekend! Back in Texas, AKC CH Rainyday's Tinsel Town, owned by
Sherry Green, had back to back BOB wins and a Group Three -- way to go Cooper!
March 31-April 1 
Down to Bryan where we had a blast. On Saturday Merlot
(BIS BISS AKC/ASCA CH Rainyday's Red Red Wine) was BOB and on to a Group
One. On Sunday Merlot was BOB and a Group Three! In other states, Wally
(Rainyday's Preston Phillips) picked up a WD/BOW in PA, and Tempo (Rainyday's The
Beat Goes On) was WB/BOW/BOS over a special for a 4 point AKC major in OK.

I don't even know what to say about this weekend. We went
East to the Wichita Falls AKC show where we had, well, an incredible time!
On Saturday our Merlot (BISS AKC/ASCA CH Rainyday's Red Red Wine) was BOB, Group
One and on to a BIS over many top-winning dogs!! Wow!!
Merlot's half brother Cooper (AKC CH Rainyday's Tinsel Town) was BOS. On
Sunday Merlot was BOS but we were still flying too high to be
disappointed.
February 24-25 
We drove down South to Hutto for a wonderful show at the
fantastic Triple Crown Dog Training Facility. On Saturday Rainyday's
TigerLily, owned by Sheila Hall, was BOB puppy over a large entry. Lily is three
months old. Also on Saturday, Folly (AKC CH Cobbercrest Rainyday's Folly
NA CGC) was WB/BOW/BOB over specials in the altered classes, Jane (Rainyday Life
In The Fast Lane) was WB for a five point major, and Lark (AKC/ASCA CH Rainyday
GirlsJusWannaHavFun) was BOS. On Sunday Lily won her class of six puppies.

Fast Lane) was RWB to a five point major and Lark was BOB! And on Sunday

We went to Decatur to an ASCA show where we had a great
time. On Saturday our Folly (AKC CH Cobbercrest Rainyday's Folly NA CGC)
showed in the new altered conformation program and was WB/BOW for a three point

Rainyday's Violets Are Blue) was RWB. Lark (AKC/ASCA CH Rainyday
GirlsJusWannaHavFun) was BOS. On Sunday Folly was WB for another three
point major, Rose was RWB to a five point major and Lark was again BOS.
What a fun weekend!
January 6-7 
What a great start to the new year! We went to an AKC show in
Glen Rose where we had a wonderful time. On Saturday, Rainyday's We Have
No Secrets was WB/BOW from the 9-12 class for a three point major. Carly
is owned by Ellen Meyer and Cheryl Grossman. Our Merlot (BISS AKC/ASCA CH
Rainyday's Red Red Wine) was BOB and made the cut in a tough group. On
Sunday our Ruby (Rainyday's Ruby Tuesday HIC) was WB/BOW for a three point
major. Ruby now has 12 ASCA and 12 AKC points. Merlot was once again
BOB. Certainly a wonderful way to start the new year!
