We lost our wonderful girl in August of
2003 after
a two month battle with cancer. We miss her terribly.
What is there to say about Folly? She
is bright, beautiful, and all that anyone could ask for in a companion.
Her incredible movement takes your breath away, and her intelligence is
astounding. She is a couch potato, a babysitter,
a ball player, a lap dog, and in short, a best friend. Folly is also an
AKC champion, an ASCA A-CH and completed her NA at the age of seven. She also has a 5 pt. leg on
her RS-N and her NAC titles.
Folly was spayed shortly after
the completion of her AKC championship due to a veterinary misdiagnosis (cancer
versus mastitis). With the implementation of the new altered championship
program Folly re-entered the conformation ring at the age of seven and a
half. Her first weekend out she showed two days and was WB/BOW for a three
point major on Saturday and WB for a three point major on Sunday! What a great
beginning! Folly's second weekend out in Altered she only showed one day and
went WB/BOW/BOB for one more point. Folly finished her A-CH with back to
back WB/BOW/BOB wins over specials. She was the first dog to achieve the
title of ASCA Altered Champion and earned all of her points from the altered
program! We are VERY proud of our girl. Folly
finished the 2000-2001 year ranked #7. What a great way to start her
second conformation career!
Folly attended her first ASCA nationals in
2001 and she
showed one day in both altered and the veterans class. She won BOS over a large
entry of bitch specials in the altered competition and went right on to place
fourth in her veterans class! Folly retired from competition in January of 2002 after breaking a
toe, but still managed to end the year ranked #7 in the altered conformation
standings (second year in a row!).
